KOCHI: Petrol pumps in the state will go for a one-day strike on Monday demanding cut in the
petrol price.
The strike was called jointly by the Kerala State Petroleum Traders Association and All Kerala Federation of Petroleum Traders.
The association said that petrol pumps in the state will not sell or buy petroleum products on the day.
Other demands of the petrol pumps include sanctioning of new pumps on the basis of clear guidelines, electricity consumption by petrol pumps in the service category and registering case under the goonda act against those who engage in destructive activities in the pumps.
The pumps had gone for a two-day strike in July this year in protest against the
Indian Oil Corporation’s move to open 600 more pumps across the state.
